Hisham Shafei is the partner at Mohammed Al Hashimi Advocates and Legal Consultants.
Having 26 years of experience, Mr. Shafei joined the firm in 2018, he regularly provides guidance and leadership to other legal consultants within our firm and oversees all of our firm legal matters. Mr. Shafei has practiced and accumulated substantive knowledge and experience in various areas of law such as insurance, aviation, maritime law, construction including FIDIC related matters, commercial and labor matters, criminal law, public law related cases and complaints, arbitration matters and other areas of the law.
In addition to that, Mr. Shafei regularly appears on behalf of clients before court’s appointed experts and collaborate on a regular basis with third party consultants when legal matters involve technical points that need to be addressed by experts or technical consultants (engineers, financial consultants, auditors etc…).
Mr. Shafei is also responsible of the allocation of files amongst our team members to achieve the optimal results to our clients according to the specialty and expertise of each of our legal consultants.
Mr. Shafei has been recognized by peers as having a highly critical thinking with an ability to quickly respond to changes in the law, to analyze and solve problems efficiently and determine the best course of action in the most effective manner. The writings and legal analysis of Mr. Shafei allowed him to obtain certain rulings which are now considered as legal precedents in the UAE.
